Rotterdam The Hague Airport
Rotterdam The Hague Airport is located at 5.6 km in the northwest of Rotterdam. The airport is the Netherlands' third largest airport after Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and Eindhoven Airport.
At the beginning of 2010, acting on the initiative of The Hague town council, the covenant has been signed at Rotterdam Airport to officialize the name change of the airport to ‘Rotterdam The Hague Airport'.
The name change fits in well with the ambition of both cities, Rotterdam and The Hague, to strengthen the climate for establishing international business in the Metropolis region. For the airport it will offer increased opportunities in various fields, one of which is improved accessibility, thanks to a direct shuttle link between the not-yet-completed station Meijersplein (Schiebroek) and Rotterdam The Hague Airport, due to come into service at the end of 2010.
