Center of Competence in Environmental Affairs - KUMAS
KUMAS coordinates and promotes environmental activities. With the 1996 Council of Ministers decision to promote future technologies in Bavaria, the decision was also made to develop and intensely support the Augsburg-Swabia region as Bavaria's competence centre for the environment; because of its many environmental competence facilities and activities, however, Swabia has already successfully built up a good reputation in the field of applied environmental technology years earlier.
