Association Industries & Agro-Resources
The “Industries and Agro-Resources” Cluster unites stakeholders from research, higher education, industry & agriculture in the Champagne-Ardenne and Picardy regions of France around a shared goal: the value-added non-food exploitation of plant biomass.
In order to achieve this ambitious objective, the IAR cluster has defined 4 strategic fields of activity around the biorefinery concept:
- bioenergy
- biomaterials
- biomolecules
- green ingredients
These strategic themes are at the heart of key issues in current and future development: sufficiently high long-term prices for non-renewable raw materials and energy, international competitiveness, sustainable development, environmental protection and consumer health & safety. The implementation of an ever more strict regulatory framework on the national and European levels reflects all these preoccupations.
