Cancer-Bio-Santé
The Cancer-Bio-Health Competitiveness Cluster federates private and public sector actors in the medical field around a common purpose of innovation, in order to face up to the major health challenges of the coming years. By accelerating the economic development of this sector, the cluster intends to make the Toulouse Cancéropôle the international reference for the discovery, development and assessment of novel products and tools for modern medicine.
The Cancer-Bio-Health Competitiveness Cluster draws its strength from regional excellence, a universal and measurable notion, in all areas that underpin the medical practices and medicinal products of the future: life sciences, chemistry and physics, information sciences, robotics, communications and social sciences. The cluster aims to enhance interactions between these disciplines by fostering the exploitation of project-based initiatives. This will enable a pooling of productive investment.
The proximity of the Aeronautics, Space and Embedded Systems cluster (Aerospace Valley) and the presence of a centre for space medicine will, in the longer term, ensure emulation, cross-fertilization and resulting excellence.
Our approach is to integrate within a continuum, industrial and research activities in the agri-food, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, research centers for human and animal health and clinical activities oriented towards the management of cancer. In practice, the cluster proposes an innovative approach to prevention, diagnosis, therapy and social care in the field of cancer.
