Louvain-la-Neuve Science Park
Louvain-la-Neuve Science Parkhas four main technological poles; life sciences, fine chemistry, information technologies and engineering. These technological poles were able to be created through the presence of laboratories with an international reputation within UCL, developing sustained scientific collaboration with companies in the sector. Since it was set up, LLN Science Park has been hosting research centres (Shell, Eli Lilly ...), production sites (Pfizer, Clariant …), service companies, whether they operate in the area of technology (computing …) or not (marketing, coaching, human resources, …). These companies that have placed their trust in LLN Science Park include SMEs and multinationals. The international aspect of LLN Science Park is ensured by the presence of 25 % foreign companies, mostly from the US, France, Japan and Germany. The relationships with the University Louvain is another feature shared by these companies. In addition to scientific or technological collaboration, Louvain University is a real breeding ground where companies can find young graduates, scientists, managers, psychologists or legal experts, whose level of qualification is vital for their economic development.
