Based on the successes built up over decades of the touristic brand "Tyrol", very early the potential of the brand for the whole site Tyrol has been recognized. As part of sound first evaluations of this extension of the tourist trade mark on the whole site of Tyrol, all the chances and opportunities, but also the potential hazards have been analyzed. Together with organizations, stakeholders and opinion leaders on a broad basis, the foundations have been prepared for the location strategy. Three key areas for the location profiling Tyrol were defined: Tourism, Research & Education and the economy. Based on these three key areas, the profiling of the brand Tyrol has been re-positioned in several workshops. The overall goal was and is obvious: The further improvement of the competitiveness of the entire site Tyrol!
