Over the past few decades, Tyrol’s wood industry, rich in tradition, has become an innovative and high-tech economic sector.
Tyrol’s Wood Cluster, a network of companies in the sector’s added-value chain, encourages innovation, cooperation, qualification, the opening of new markets and internationalisation, while functioning as a central contact partner, both domestically and internationally.
Within the wood cluster, a lot of companies and corporations are active, that also are internationally successful, especially in the fields of logging, sawing technology, wood construction, interior fittings, window and door construction as well as structural design. In the direct contact to university wood research are pushed technological developments.
