Belval Area
The largest and most important development site in Luxembourg is the Belval Area, a former steel mill with a surface of 120ha. This development will attract between 6'000 and 7'000 inhabitants and up to 25'000 daily occupants in offices, leisure facilities, the university quarter or the culture facilities. More than a million square meters will be developed within the next 10-15 years. The decision of the Luxembourg government to invest more than €140'000'000 in Life Science projects with American research investors will boost the development of the Belval Area and the diversification of the Luxembourg economy.
