22@Barcelona - Innovation and Creativity Hub in Besos Area
22@Barcelona project transforms 2-hundred hectares of industrial land of Poblenou into an innovative district offering modern spaces for the strategic concentration of intensive knowledge-based activities. This initiative is also a project of urban refurbishment and a new model of city providing a response to the challenges posed by the knowledge-based society.
22@Barcelona district is privileged with an extraordinary urban and metropolitan centrality.
The new productive hub of the city is vertebrated by the Diagonal Avenue, business core of Barcelona, that in its first stretch brings together two important activity focal points: Glorias square, future cultural and administrative centre of the city, and the Barcelona International Conventions Centre, that constitutes the biggest convention centre of the South of Europe and allows to hold international conventions of over 20.000 delegates.
It is the most important project of urban transformation of Barcelona city of the last years and one of the most ambitious of Europe of these characteristics, with a high real state potential and a 180 million Euros public investment of infrastructure plan.
