Athens International Airport
Within the context of AIA’s real estate development program, a number of sites depicted in the South and North development areas of the airport as well as Zagani hill - a total of 1,8 million m2 - can potentially be developed with a mix of selected commercial uses, following thorough investigation of business cases aiming to implement “win-win” projects for AIA and third party stakeholders.
Based on current demand / supply market studies of the greater Athens area and considering the real estate development practices in other European airports, the mix of uses may comprise - but not limited to - the following:
- Shopping Centre (retail, services, cinema complex, food & beverage)
- Retail Park (“big box” type retail facilities)
- Business Park (office buildings)
- Warehouse & Logistics Park
- Exhibition / Conference Centre
- Hotel / Hospitality facilities
- Recreation / Sports / Leisure and Entertainment (golf, race track, theme park) along with complementary accommodation and commercial facilities
- Gasoline station and Car Repair workshops.
