Aberdeen City and Shire Economic Future
The role of the Scottish Enterprise (SE) in Aberdeen City and Shire Economic Future is to identify local priorities and accelerate the delivery of economic development, investment and growth in the North East of Scotland. The SE is particularly concerned with the reliance on oil in the North East and recognises the need for diversification. In particular, SE supports the potentially lucrative transfer of skills from the Oil and Gas industry to the renewable energy industry. Furthermore, SE not only wants to create a renewable energy industry but to promote a lifestyle centred on the themes of sustainability and renewables. It is against this backdrop that the project “Energetica” was conceived.
Aberdeen City and Shire Economic Future (ACSEF) brings together the public and private sectors to realise the ambition for the future of the Region and to shape delivery of economic development in Aberdeen City and Shire.
