Rivne region is located in the north-western part of Ukraine, close to the European Union border (100 km) and Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine (250 km). It is conveniently situated at the crossroads of international transport highways (E373, E40, E85) and enjoys developed railway and motorway systems, as well as an international airport that has the capacity to receive and service all types of aircraft.

Almost 20% of Ukraine's peat deposits can be found in the region. Furthermore, Rivne region's forest resources are among the largest in Ukraine.
