Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Development Agency
The Regional Development Agency Bucharest-Ilfov (ADRBI) is a governmental institution, nonprofit public utility, with legal personality, which operates under Law 315/2004. Furthermore, ADRBI is the Intermediate Body (IB) and Regional Operational Program (ROP) 2007-2013 responsible for the programs financed by the Romanian Government.
Following, the main activities of ADRBI:
- Developing and updating the Regional Development Plan (RDP) regarding plans and programs related to the region.
- Providing technical and financial management of the Regional Development Fund in order to achieve the objectives of regional development programs.
- Selection, contracting, monitoring and verification of projects funded through the Agency.
- Promoting the region and activities under the regional development policies.
Objectives of ADRBI:
- Achieving territorial cohesion, economic and social development in line with EU policies and NRDP by developing skills at regional level and promoting intra and inter-regional cooperation as well as transnational impact by attracting investment in the region - public, private and mixed through Public Private Partnership scheme (PPP).
- Promoting sustainable development of the region by implementing the RDP, accelerating innovation and transfer of know-how, both at regional and national.
