Since 1994, BCDA has generated a total of Php40.911 billion from the disposition of Metro Manila camps that covers sale, lease and joint venture partnerships with leading private sector entities. 

BCDA’s vigorous asset disposition efforts have successfully laid the foundation for the creation of premiere business and residential addresses in Metro Manila—specifically in the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City and the Newport City in Pasay City.

All these developments reflect the real estate boom within BCDA-managed properties which further highlights the effective partnership between government and the private sector and the sustained investor confidence in government.  

BCDA-administered economic zones also enjoy distinct and unique features as investment locations.  The government is working hard to enable these zones to realize their full potential not only as centers of economic growth but also of human and social development.

The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) is a government instrumentality vested with corporate powers under Republic Act (RA) 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act of 1992).  Its mandate is to convert former US military baselands and Metro Manila camps into productive civilian economic growth centers consistent with the thrust to generate business opportunities, jobs and economic activities.

Since its creation in 1992, the BCDA has remained at the forefront of development efforts in the country.  It has proven to be one of the most successful government agencies in attracting investments, creating jobs for the Filipino people and boosting the Philippine economy.
