Kawasaki City Global Environment Knowledge Centre
The Kawasaki City Global Environment Knowledge Centre was opened on the 12th floor of Institute of Industrial Promotion Kawasaki in May 200, in advance of the establishment of the Kawasaki Environment Research Institute by the City of Kawasaki. Since its establishment, the Centre has been actively engaged in collecting and sending out of information on Kawasakis outstanding environmental technologies, as well as joint research in collaboration with industry, universities, the public sector, and citizens utilizing the field of Kawasaki, receiving of trainees from other countries, and other initiatives.
The skills for applying initiatives that resolve environmental issues in Japan are required particularly in rapidly industrializing countries and meet those expectations. Kawasaki City has a vast repertoire of environmental technologies and experience which it has accumulated in its efforts to rid itself of serious pollution problems. The centre studies and analyzes the technologies and experience that make up these skills and sends them around the world in an ongoing drive to use Kawasaki's fields to contribute to the global community.
