SCL Santiago Airport
In January, 1997, the group formed by the Chilean firms AGUNSA (Agencias Universales S.A.), SABCO (Administradora de Fondos de Inversiones S.A.); the Spanish firms Grupo Dragados, FCC (Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas S.A.), Dragados-FCC Internacional de Construcción S.A. and the Canadian YVR Airport Services Ltd. united their efforts to create SCL Terminal Aéreo Santiago S.A., with the intention to answer to the call for biddings made by the Ministry of Public Works.
At present, SCL Terminal Aéreo Santiago S.A. Sociedad Concesionaria is the private trust that administrates the concession of the main national airport since January 2, 1999, when the Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil (DGAC), through the Ministry of Public Works officially transfer the administration of the airport terminal for a period of 15 years starting from July 7,1998*.
