Ghana Free Zone Tema
The flagship of the Ghana Free Zones Programme is the Tema Export Processing Zone located in Tema, one of Ghana's major residential and industrial towns. Tema has the largest seaport in Ghana and is located about 24 kilometres from Ghana's international airport.
Tema is also one of Ghana's fastest growing cities with well-developed infrastructure. There are other major industries located in the Tema industrial area where there is also a concentration of skilled labour.
The Tema EPZ, with a total area of 1,200 acres (480 hectares), offers investors a favourable and conducive environment for manufacturing, service and commercial export activities including:
- The convergence of all frontline export/investment promotion institutions into a one-stop-shop
- A range of property options including factory shells, office space and serviced lands
- Dedicated utility supplies like water, electricity, telecommunication services all at affordable rates
- Large water reservoir to ensure constant and adequate water supply
- On-site power sub-station to provide energy to EPZ enterprises without disruption
- Reliable telecommunication services
The TEPZ is also linked to the airport and seaport by a first class road network.
